Oil Rig Technician
PeopleReady of Henderson, KY is now hiring Oil Rig Technicians!Drillers bore holes deep into the ground for purposes such as geological research, oil and gas production, mining exploration, water extraction, and construction or demolition. They work with specialized drilling equipment to create holes that match exact specifications. Drillers are often responsible for verifying drill locations, choosing suitable equipment, running and monitoring the drill, and enforcing safety procedures. They may also have to troubleshoot problems or make minor repairs

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $22.50 / hour
What
you'll be doing as a Oil Rig Technician:
• Operate drilling equipment such as drill rigs, derricks, and hoists while controlling the speed and direction of the drill.
• Adhere to and enforce safety procedures to ensure the well-being of the drilling crew to help prevent accidents.
• Monitor drilling parameters such as mud density, weight on the bit, & drilling fluid circulation.
• Troubleshoot and identify equipment malfunctions on drilling issues.
• Preform routine maintenance on drilling equipment

Shift Timings:1st Shift (Day)
Job requirements:
• Previous drilling/oil rigging experience
• Must be physically fit and able to withstand physical demands of job
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Background check and drug screen required
