Job Description
You are the "gatekeeper" of the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) procedure as a Demo Entry Executive. The entire assertion falls apart if the basis you lay is faulty. 90% of claim denials are caused by "front-end" errors, which can be avoided by accurately recording patient and insurer information. This ensures a smooth revenue flow for healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
Patient Registration: Using clean, digital profiles created from raw patient intake forms, you will capture 100% accurate demographic information such as name, address, DOB, and social security number.
Insurance Mapping: To guarantee that the claim is sent to the appropriate carrier the first time, you will locate and connect the appropriate insurance "payor" and plan type.
Utilizing clearinghouse portals, you will confirm that a patient's insurance is "Active" on the day of service in order to avoid denials for "Terminated Coverage."
Provider
Validation: To prevent rejections related to credentialing, you will make sure that the "Rendering" and "Billing" provider data accurately correspond to the patient's visit.
Batch Quality Proofing: To guarantee "Zero-Error" performance and a high-quality run that safeguards the clinic's financial stability, you will audit your own data entry batches.
Skills:
Medical Billing Basics: A solid understanding of the RCM lifecycle and the importance of "clean claims."
Keyboarding Precision: Exceptional typing speed (40+ WPM) combined with "Right-the-First-Time" accuracy.
US Healthcare Knowledge: Familiarity with US address formats, insurance types (PPO, HMO, Medicare, Medicaid), and HIPAA privacy rules.
Technical Proficiency: Ability to quickly navigate billing software (like Epic, Kareo, or Brightree) and multi-task across different browser tabs.
