Starting Your Employment as a Charge Entry Executive in RCM
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Claim Creation: By entering 100% accurate CPT (procedure) and ICD-10 (diagnosis) codes, you will convert "Superbills" and patient charts into digital claims.
Linkage & Validation: By accurately associating diagnosis codes with operations, you will guarantee "Medical Necessity" and stop insurance companies from rejecting claims as "non-covered."
Modifier Calibration: To appropriately characterize the intricacy of the visit and record every dollar collected, you will use the appropriate "Modifiers" (such as -25, -59).
Fee Schedule Management: To make sure the system doesn't overcharge or undercharge, you will confirm that the charges recorded correspond to the provider's particular
"Fee Schedule."
Batch Reconciliation: You will conduct a "Production Audit" every day to make sure that the total number of charges put into the system and the total number of patients seen by the doctor match.
Experience: 0 to 3 yrs
Education: Any Basic degree
