Education: Any Basic Degree
Duties:
EOB/ERA Processing: Correctly post payments from different payers to the appropriate patient accounts in the PMS using Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) and manual Explanation of Benefits (EOB) forms.
Adjustments: Based on the EOB/ERA information and payer contracts, appropriately apply contractual adjustments, write-offs, copays,
deductibles, and co-insurance.
Unapplied Funds: Address any unapplied payments or credit balances on patient accounts and accurately publish them.
HIPAA Compliance: When managing and processing financial information, strictly comply to HIPAA regulations and patient data privacy.
Reporting: Create daily and weekly reports that include posted amounts, reconciliation status, and significant denial patterns in order to support the AR Manager.
