Serve as a Demo Entry Executive for a Health Billing Firm
Job Description
Duties:
Patient Registration: Fill out patient registration forms or hospital face sheets with accurate personal data, such as legal name, birthdate, address, and Social Security Number (SSN).
Insurance Verification: Enter payer IDs, policy numbers, and group numbers along with primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance information to make sure the system is selecting the right insurance plan.
Provider & Facility Setup: To guarantee that claims are sent to the appropriate billing entities, associate the patient's encounter with the appropriate referring and rendering physicians.
Support for Eligibility Checks: To verify whether insurance coverage was in effect on the date of service, use integrated clearinghouse
technologies to conduct real-time eligibility (RTE) checks.
Document Management: In the Electronic Health Record (EHR), upload and index insurance cards, patient ID cards, and HIPAA consent forms.
Focus Skills:
Alphanumeric Accuracy: Outstanding speed and accuracy when inputting lengthy policy and group number strings.
Knowledge of US healthcare: familiarity with the HMO, PPO, and EPO insurance plan structures and the differences between "Subscriber" and "Dependent."
Software Proficiency: Knowledge of PM/EHR platforms such as Kareo, Epic, NextGen, and Athenahealth.
The capacity to identify even the smallest mistakes in handwritten registration forms.
