Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Demographic Entry: From scanned documents, accurately enter the patient's full name, birthdate, address, and social security number.
Enter payer IDs, group numbers, and policy effective dates together with primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance information throughout the insurance verification entry process.
Support for Charge Entry: Help enter ICD-10 (Diagnosis) and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes as supplied by the coding team in order to generate "superbills."
Document Management: Examine and arrange scanned medical records, making sure the patient profile has all required paperwork.
Self-audit entries to verify "Clean Claim" submission and look for inconsistencies between the data entered and the patient's registration form are part of quality auditing.
HIPAA Compliance: Adhere to firm security rules and HIPAA
laws by keeping Protected Health Information (PHI) strictly confidential.
Oversee and monitor daily work batches to make sure all assigned medical "charts" are completed within the allotted Turnaround Time (TAT).
Error Correction: To make re-filing claims easier, update and correct patient demographics based on "Kickback" reports or front-office input.
Experience: 0 to 3 yrs
Education: Any Basic Degree
