Who you are:
Make outgoing calls to insurance companies (payers) to find out how unpaid, underpaid, or rejected medical claims are progressing. Use payer portals, phone calls, and other verification techniques to confirm patient eligibility, benefits, claim filing status, and payment details. In the medical billing software or practice management system, accurately
and promptly record all follow-up actions, correspondence with payers, denial reason codes (CARC/RARC), and anticipated payment dates. To maximize collection and satisfy AR targets, prioritize the worklist according to dollar value, claim age, and payer requirements.
Experience: 3 to 7 yrs
