Accurate Payment Posting is the essential cornerstone for transparent reporting, patient statement creation, and proactive AR management in the medical billing revenue cycle, which is becoming a highly automated, compliance-focused financial process. Payment posting executives that are skilled at evaluating electronic remittance advice (ERA), resolving inconsistencies, and supplying the financial data integrity required for advanced analytics and machine learning technologies will be in high demand in the future. Our goal is to have an impeccable reconciliation procedure that guarantees every dollar is recorded.
What you will do:
You will be responsible for accurately
and timely posting all payments, denials, and adjustments received from insurance carriers and patients into the medical billing system. This includes processing Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) files, manually posting payments from paper Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), and ensuring the amounts posted reconcile perfectly with bank deposits. Your tasks will also involve identifying payment variances, accurately assigning reason codes, escalating complex denial patterns to the AR team, and performing daily reconciliation of batch totals. Your sharp eye for detail, understanding of denial codes, and commitment to financial accuracy will be essential in maintaining a clean and accurate financial ledger.
