Make sure that rendering and billing provider data, such as NPI and taxonomy codes, are put up correctly. To ensure a transparent
audit trail, arrange, scan, or file source papers that are obtained from the clinic or front desk. Use payer portals or automated systems to confirm patient insurance eligibility and benefits in certain situations, and accurately record the outcomes.
