Job Description
Responsibilities
Accurately enter patient demographics, insurance information, and medical codes (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS) into the billing system based on patient records and physician documentation.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA and ICD-10-CM guidelines.
Communicate
effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to clarify any questions or concerns regarding patient charges.
