Job Description
You are the last "check-and-balance" in the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) process as a Payment Posting Executive. You convert unprocessed insurance company data into precise financial documentation. You give healthcare providers the unmistakable financial insight they require to make investments in the future of patient care by making sure every penny is tracked.
Key Duties:
ERA & Manual Posting: You will ensure that all bank deposits and ERA and manual check (EOB) payments are appropriately posted into the billing system.
Denial Identification: By locating and marking "zero-payment" codes, you will be the "first responder"
to report denials so that the AR team can act right away.
Contractual Adjustments: To guarantee that the patient's balance is 100% accurate, you will compute and apply "allowed amounts" and write-offs in accordance with insurance contracts.
Secondary Billing Trigger: By accurately submitting primary payments, you can "unlock" the secondary insurance or patient billing process and avoid revenue delays.
Financial Reconciliation: To make sure that the total amount entered into the software accurately reflects the daily cash flow, you will conduct "closing" audits every day.
