Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Demographic Entry: Enter patient data into the Practice Management (PM) software accurately, including personal information, guarantor details, and secondary insurance.
Insurance Verification: Make that the patient's coverage is active for the date of service by reviewing and confirming insurance eligibility and benefits.
Charge Entry: Convert electronic encounter forms or "Superbills" into system entries, making sure that the CPT and ICD-10 codes are accurately recorded.
Claim Scrubbing: Before a claim is sent to the clearinghouse, conduct a preliminary audit to find any missing modifiers, inaccurate provider IDs, or mismatched diagnosis codes.
Document management: Assemble and index scanned
EOBs, medical records, and letters into the relevant digital patient files.
Support for Payment Entry: When needed, help post adjustments and payments from EOBs into patient accounts while ensuring high numerical correctness.

Education: Any Basic Degree
