Job Description
Focus: Stress the need of correctly entering patient information, medical procedures, and diagnoses into billing software in order to produce accurate and fast claims in a hospital setting located in Chennai while taking into account local laws and healthcare systems.
Experience: 0 to 2 yrs
What you’ll Do:
Following data entry requirements unique to our Chennai operations and the Indian healthcare setting, accurately enter patient demographics, insurance information, medical procedures (CPT codes), and diagnoses (ICD-10 codes) into the medical billing system.
Communicate with the appropriate departments within our Chennai healthcare facility to find and fix any inconsistencies or missing information in patient record.
Recognise and follow payer-specific policies and procedures for charge input, making sure that rules pertaining
to the Indian healthcare system and to Chennai-specific payers are followed.
Make effective use of medical billing software (which may be unique to the Indian healthcare sector) to manage patient records, submit costs, and produce precise claims.
In order to reach our Chennai office's daily and weekly production goals, maintain a high degree of data entry accuracy and speed.
What you need:
strong familiarity with the Indian healthcare billing cycle and claim submission procedures.
strong focus on details and dedication to the completeness and correctness of the data.
the capacity to successfully interpret medical records and patient charts.
Strong time-management and organising abilities to effectively manage a large number of data entry duties in our Chennai office.
