Coding Verification: To prevent claim rejections, make sure the medical coder's CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) and ICD-10 (Diagnosis) codes are accurately entered and linked.
Demographic Entry: Record and validate patient insurance data, such as primary/secondary coverage details, policy numbers, and group IDs.
Modifier Application: To guarantee correct invoicing for a number of services, apply the proper modifiers to procedure codes as needed.
Fee Schedule Management: Confirm that the charges recorded match the standard rates of
the provider or the fee schedule of the particular payer.
Charge Scrubbing: Before sending the claim to the clearinghouse, perform a preliminary "scrub" of the charges to find any missing details or logical mistakes.
