Job Description
Who you are:
Enter patient and insurance payments (ERA/EOB) into the system, making sure that all totals match daily bank deposits and lockbox reports. Using contractual adjustments, write-offs, and secondary insurance crossovers based on payer-specific contracts, classify claim denials. To ensure data integrity, keep an eye on automated posting batches and manually fix any data inconsistencies or "un-postable" lines. Look into patient credits and overpayments, starting refunds or transferring money to unpaid accounts in accordance with rules. Verify that offsets, copays,
and deductibles match patient benefit data exactly by conducting final audits of posted batches.
