Job Description:
The main duty of the AR (Accounts Receivable) Caller is to handle and settle unpaid insurance claims. Converting "denied" or "pending" claims into successful payments for healthcare providers is the primary goal of this position. The caller is in charge of getting in touch with insurance providers, figuring out the underlying reason for payment delays, and supplying the data required to have claims accepted. For the medical facility to avoid revenue loss and maintain a consistent, high-quality financial flow, precise follow-up is necessary.
Key Duties:
Insurance Follow-up: Give insurance providers a call to inquire about the status of unresolved claims that are past their "due date."
/>Denial Management: Examine the reasons behind a claim's rejection (such as inaccurate coding or missing information) and move quickly to modify and resubmit it.
Appeal Processing: To dispute underpaid claims, draft and submit "appeal letters" or other medical records to insurance companies.
Data Calibration: Update the billing software precisely by adding thorough notes about the discussion with the insurance agent and the anticipated date of payment.
Trend Identification: To avoid a 100% revenue loss in the future, audit daily batches of denials to identify reoccurring issues and report them to the coding team.
