Enhance a job as an AR Analyst in Healthcare Billing
Job Description
Duties:
Trend Analysis & Reporting: To find "clusters" of denials associated with particular payers, codes, or clinical specialties, examine weekly and monthly AR aging reports.
Root Cause Analysis: Look at systemic problems that lead to claim denials, such as improper provider credentialing, persistent coding mistakes, or software bugs, and work with the front-end and code teams to find solutions.
Denial Management Strategy: To handle frequent denials more effectively, create and improve standardized protocols for the AR Calling team.
Workflow Optimization: Prioritize high-value claims for the follow-up team and automate report preparation using sophisticated
Excel or RCM tools.
Credit Balance & Refund Management: Manage overpayments and make sure insurance or patient refunds are handled correctly and legally.
Focus Skills:
Advanced Data Literacy: Mastery of SQL or PowerBI for data visualization and MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Macros).
RCM Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of 835/837 transaction sets, CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
The capacity to see the "big picture" underlying thousands of line items of data.
Technical Writing: The capacity to write formal arguments for high-value clinical claims or complicated medical necessity denials.
