Who you are:
Patient registration involves entering the patient's full demographics into the Practice Management (PM) system, including name, date of birth, address, social security number, and employer information. Payer IDs and group numbers should be entered precisely as they appear on the insurance card in order to ensure that primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance information is accurately recorded. Identify and enter the guarantor information (the person who will be paying the bill) for patients who are third-party liable or minors. Verify your eligibility in real time by using the integrated clearinghouse tools to make sure the insurance you supplied is valid
for the specified date of service. Address "Front-end Edits" or "Registration Holds" that the system has identified as a result of faulty insurance formatting, mismatched names, or invalid zip codes.
