Data Process Associate in Medical Billing Operations
Job Description
Who you are:
Accurately input ICD-10 and CPT codes from electronic health records (EHR) or superbills into the billing software. Ensure that all sensitive fields, such as Social Security Numbers and Policy IDs, are filled out accurately when registering new patients. Post payments received from patients and insurance companies (EOBs/ERAs) into the appropriate accounts either electronically or manually. Check rejected claims for data-related mistakes and make the necessary corrections so they can be resubmitted right away. Reconcile daily batches to make sure that the total charges and payments recorded correspond to the clinic's source documentation.
Sorting and uploading scanned insurance cards, authorization letters, and medical documents into the Document Management System (DMS) for the AR team's convenience.
