Recovering outstanding claims from insurance carriers is the responsibility of the AR (Accounts Receivable) Caller, a crucial component of the healthcare revenue cycle. Your main goal is to reduce "Days in AR" by getting in touch with insurance companies to look into claims that have been rejected, underpaid, or are still pending. As a tenacious champion for the healthcare provider, you will make sure that the timely and accurate payment of medical services is made. The ideal applicant is a persistent communicator who
is well-versed in US healthcare regulations, refusal codes, and how to use intricate insurance portals and IVR systems.
Key Skills:
Knowledge of US healthcare: Excellent knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding, HIPAA rules, and various insurance plans (HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medicaid).
Communication: Able to speak with US-based insurance representatives in a professional manner with a neutral accent.
Analytical Thinking: The capacity to swiftly determine the reason a claim was not fully paid after reading an EOB.
Perseverance: A "never-give-up" mentality to wait for the claim to be resolved.
