Charge Entry for Generic Healthcare Billing Executive Posts
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Data capture: Examine "Superbills" or electronic health records (EHR) to retrieve patient data and specifics of the medical visit.
Accurately input or amend the patient's name, date of birth, address, and guarantor details.
Insurance Verification: Enter primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance information, making sure that the right policy numbers and payer IDs are recorded.
Coding Entry: According to the healthcare provider's documentation, assign and input the proper CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes.
Batch balancing: To make sure no encounters are overlooked, perform daily batching of entries and compare the total amount of charges recorded against
the provider's schedule.
Quality Control: Before the claim is sent to the "Scrubbing" stage, find and mark any missing information, such as unsigned notes or inconsistent codes.
Experience: 0 to 3 yrs
Education: Any Basic Degree
