A crucial component of the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) process, the Charge Entry Executive is in charge of precisely and effectively entering patient encounter data into the billing system. In order to construct a clean claim for submission to insurance payers, this function entails gathering patient data, insurance information, and clinical services delivered (codes). Your main objective is to maximize the "First Pass Ratio" by removing data input errors and making sure
that every billable service is accounted for. The ideal applicant is meticulous, quick to type, and well-versed in medical jargon and billing regulations.
Key Skills:
Technical Proficiency: Alphanumeric data entry that is accurate and quick (minimum 40–50 WPM).
Medical Knowledge: Knowledge of fundamental anatomy and the format of CPT and ICD-10 guides.
Detail Orientation: The capacity to identify differences between chosen codes and provider remarks.
Software Proficiency: Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and practice management software (PMS).
