What You will do:
Accurate Charge Capture: Using encounter forms, operation reports, and physician paperwork, you will quickly and accurately enter all professional and/or facility costs into the Practice Management System (PMS).
Coding Verification: You will be in charge of examining paperwork to make sure that CPT (procedure) codes, ICD-10-CM (diagnosis) codes, and modifiers are paired correctly in accordance with payer-specific regulations and coding guidelines.
Quality and Compliance
Check: Before submitting a claim, you will actively check for and fix data input problems, making sure that the demographic data, date of service, provider ID, and place of service are correctly connected to the charges.
Maintain Charge Master Integrity: You will assist in maintaining and updating the Charge Master (fee schedule) within the billing system to reflect current pricing and coding changes.
Collaboration and Feedback: You will communicate effectively with the coding and billing teams regarding documentation discrepancies or charge entry roadblocks that could lead to denials.
