Responsibilities
Maintaining a Medicare bad-debt cost report;
securing unpaid balances for employee care;
generating revenue through the creation of payment arrangements, account collection, monitoring, and
pursuit of delinquent accounts;
collecting delinquent accounts by working with patients to establish payment plans, tracking payments, and following up with them when payments lapse;
using small claims courts and collection agencies to collect accounts;
deciding whether to pursue legal remedies when necessary;
