Be an AR Analyst and Enhance Your Medical Billing Profession
Job Description
Who you are:
Determine recurrent denial trends by payer, specialty, or code and create plans to get rid of the underlying issues. Track and report on important financial indicators like Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), Net Collection Ratio, and AR over 90 days as part of AR Performance Monitoring. Sort denials into "clinical" and "preventable" categories, and collaborate with the front office and coding teams to put corrective workflows in place. Manage payer relationships by examining payer-specific reimbursement patterns and reporting high-value payment irregularities or contract non-compliance problems. Conduct routine audits of "Credit Balances" and "Adjustments"
to make sure the accounts receivable balance is correct and hasn't been inflated by debt that can't be collected. Find ways to automate tedious follow-up duties with technology or RPA (Robotic Process Automation).
