Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and accurate individual with a strong understanding of medical billing and a passion for ensuring accurate financial records. As a Payment Posting Specialist, you will play a vital part in the revenue cycle by accurately posting patient payments and insurance reimbursements to patient accounts.
What you will do:
Investigate and settle payment disparities, including locating and fixing posting mistakes.
Handle payments from a variety of sources, such as electronic funds transfers (EFT), cheques, cash, and credit cards.
Keep patient account information current and correct.
Make that all payment posting operations are accurate
and data-integrated.
What we need:
Basic understanding of medical billing and coding concepts (CPT, ICD-10).
Familiarity with Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and insurance reimbursement procedures.
Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and resolve payment posting issues effectively.
Proficiency in using computers and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
