Job Description
Duties:
Prioritize collection efforts for the 60+ and 90+ day buckets by routinely reviewing and analyzing "Accounts Receivable Aging" reports to identify high-risk accounts.
Work with the sales, logistics, and billing divisions to look into and address client deductions or short payments.
To suggest suitable credit limits, assess the creditworthiness of both new and current clients using financial documents, credit reports, and payment histories.
Based on payment patterns and scheduled pay dates, give management precise weekly and monthly projections of anticipated cash inflows.
Determine persistent billing or collection bottlenecks and suggest automatic fixes or policy modifications to lower DSO.
At the conclusion of each fiscal term, carry out intricate account reconciliations to
guarantee that the AR sub-ledger precisely matches the General Ledger.
Focus Skills:
Financial literacy: a thorough comprehension of accounting concepts, particularly the "Matching" and "Revenue Recognition" concepts.
Advanced Excel: Proficiency with VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and "What-If" analysis to work with big financial datasets.
ERP Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of enterprise systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, NetSuite, or SAP (FI/CO module).
Negotiation & Diplomacy: The capacity to speak with clients in a professional and cooperative manner while being stern about past-due payments.
The capacity to make connections between diverse data sources in order to determine the "Why" of a payment delay.
