Who you are:
Keep a close eye on the aging report and get in touch with insurance providers by phone or online to find out how unresolved claims are progressing. Examine Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to determine the reasons behind refused claims. To challenge denials of improper claims, draft and submit official appeal letters together with the required medical records. Find recurrent trends in claim denials from particular payers and recommend process enhancements to the front-desk or coding teams. Verify that the amounts received correspond to the agreed-upon rates and find any underpayments for additional
reimbursement. Inform patients of their financial obligations, such as deductibles, co-pays, and out-of-pocket costs in the event that insurance coverage is exhausted.
