Recovering unpaid invoices from insurance companies and patients is the responsibility of the accounts receivable (AR) analyst. Because it focuses on lowering Days in AR and raising the total collection ratio for healthcare providers, this position is essential in the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) chain. A tenacious problem-solver with a thorough awareness of US healthcare insurance regulations, claim denials, and appeal procedures is the perfect applicant. To maintain the medical practice's financial stability, they
must be able to evaluate aging records, spot patterns in nonpayment, and respond swiftly.
Key Skills:
Claims expertise includes a thorough understanding of the medical claim lifecycle including CMS-1500 and UB-04 claim forms.
Persuasion and Negotiation: Excellent communication skills to persuade insurance agents of the value of a claim.
Analytical Thinking: The capacity to identify inconsistencies in EOBs (Explanation of Benefits) and ERAs (Electronic Remittance Advice).
Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of advanced Microsoft Excel for data reporting and RCM applications.
