Education: Any Basic Degree
Duties:
Aging Analysis: Conduct regular, in-depth analysis of the A/R Aging Report, focusing on claims that have exceeded standard payment timelines and prioritizing high-dollar, complex accounts.
Underpayment Review: Analyze Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and contract rates to detect payer underpayments, variances, and payment discrepancies, initiating recovery actions.
Payer
Communication: Interact with payers via portal, phone, and written correspondence to escalate issues, verify correct contract pricing, and dispute unjust denials.
Compliance: Stay current with evolving payer policies, coding changes (ICD-10, CPT), and government regulations to ensure compliant billing and appeal practices.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with Charge Entry and Payment Posting teams to streamline processes and prevent future errors from entering the A/R stream.
