Job Description
Your Impact:
We are looking for a highly skilled and astute General Manager to oversee our Plant Division. You will have complete operational and strategic responsibility for all facets of plant operations, reporting directly to the manager. This includes making sure that efficient production, optimal resource utilisation, adherence to quality and safety standards, and the accomplishment of financial and operational goals at the plant level are all met. In a complex manufacturing setting, the ideal applicant will be an experienced manufacturing leader with a track record of advancing operational excellence, managing sizable teams, and carrying out strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Assure congruence with the overarching business strategy and goals by providing strategic leadership and guidance for every facet of Chennai's plant operations.
Create and carry out operational plans and strategies to maximise productivity, cut expenses, enhance quality, and guarantee on-time delivery.
Manage the plant's supply chain activities, such as inventory control, logistics, and procurement,
to guarantee smooth material flow and reduce interruptions.
Assure complete adherence to all EHS rules and foster a robust safety culture across the plant while following Indian national and local legislation.
To meet financial goals, create and oversee the plant's yearly budget, keep an eye on its financial performance, and put cost-control measures in place.
What you Need:
Proven ability to implement and leverage ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and other manufacturing technologies to optimize operations and improve decision-making.
Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to build a high-performing leadership team within the plant and drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Experience in managing labor relations and ensuring compliance with labor laws in Tamil Nadu.
Proven ability to drive and implement change management initiatives effectively across a large organization.
Educational Qualification: Any BE Degree
Experience: 10 to 12 yrs
