Who you are:
Make sure the worktable and spindle are clear and calibrated while interpreting setup sheets and tool lists to get the VMC ready for particular job orders. Use dial indications to make sure the setup is precisely square and true. Set up and align vises, sub-plates, rotary tables (4th axis), or bespoke fixtures. Choose and put cutting tools (such as end mills, face mills, drills, and taps) into tool holders; use laser probes or touch-off techniques to adjust tool length and radius. Use micrometers, height gauges, or CMMs to do a thorough dimensional inspection of the product and carry out the
first machining cycle. To guarantee process repeatability for subsequent batches, save setup sheets, tool life records, and quality logs.
