VMC Programmer Hiring for Intelligent Manufacturing Expertise
Job Description:
Creating high-precision milling programs for vertical spindle machines is the primary technical responsibility of the VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Programmer. Converting intricate 2D drawings and 3D CAD models into toolpaths that are designed to guarantee the highest degree of accuracy and surface polish is your main task. In order to maximize machine productivity and tool life, you must use the proper cutting techniques, such as face milling, pocketing, and contouring. The ideal applicant has a thorough understanding of advanced CAM software, material behavior, and 3-axis (and possibly 4th/5th axis) machining logic.
Key Duties
CAM Programming: Use CAM software such as Mastercam, PowerMill, or SolidCAM to create 3-axis (and 4-axis/indexing) programs especially for vertical machining
centers.
Method Planning: To prevent collisions, optimize the machining sequence by taking into account the part geometry, clamping positions, and tool reach.
Optimize spindle speeds and feed rates by taking into account the qualities of the tool coating and the hardness of the material.
Tooling Selection: Make sure you have the right drills, ball-nose cutters, end mills, and carbide inserts for the work.
Fixture Strategy: Create or recommend suitable work-holding devices, like custom fixtures or modular vices, to guarantee part stability while high-speed machining is underway.
Verify the code by running virtual simulations with programs like VERICUT or integrated CAM simulators to look for possible gouges or machine over-travel.
We invite you to apply and explore this exciting opportunity!
