Who you are:
Create 3-axis and 4-axis (Rotary/Indexing) programs for VMC machines using tools such as Siemens NX, Mastercam, or Delcam (PowerMill). Determine the ideal Feeds and Speeds based on material hardness and machine stiffness; select the best end mills, face mills, drills, and taps for particular tasks. Develop and create unique work-holding systems to guarantee multi-part "tombstone" or "vice" setups and part stability. To guarantee smooth machine motion, create and manually "scrub" G-code using canned cycles for efficiency. To detect and avoid tool crashes or interference with fixtures, run full-scale virtual simulations of
the machining process. Give the workshop comprehensive setup guidelines that include tool inventories, locations for datums (work offsets), and specific operator notes.
