Job Description
Duties:
Emergency Breakdown Response: In the event that a tool malfunctions on the production floor, offer prompt technical assistance.
RCA: Examine tool failures to ascertain whether material fatigue, incorrect setup, or press problems were the cause.
Precision Repair: Replace or repair damaged tool parts by performing precision machining operations like grinding, milling, and turning.
Tool Try-out & Validation: Ensure that the parts produced meet quality standards by supervising the reinstallation of repaired tools and conducting "First-Off" inspections.
Spare Parts Management: To guarantee lightning-fast turnaround after failures, keep an inventory of essential
tool spares.
TIG/Laser Welding: Use precise welding to repair mold cavities or restore die surfaces while minimizing heat-affected areas.
Documentation: Keep a "Breakdown Log" that describes the type of failure, the time it took to fix it, and the steps taken to prevent it from happening again.
Focus Skills:
proficiency in interpreting intricate assembly layouts and 2D/3D technical drawings.
proficiency with tools for precise measurement.
practical knowledge of both traditional and CNC toolroom equipment.
Understanding of the heat treatment process and tool steel metallurgy
