Job Description:
The tactical commander in control of a particular manufacturing shift's whole activities is known as the shift incharge. This position makes sure that the manufacturing plant meets its daily production goals while strictly adhering to efficiency, quality, and safety requirements. During your shift, you are the main decision-maker on the shop floor, overseeing personnel, resolving technological problems, and guaranteeing a smooth transition between shifts. The ideal applicant is a driven professional who can maintain discipline and efficiency in a high-pressure setting. They should have good supervision abilities and a thorough understanding of production operations.
Key Duties
Production Execution: Ensure "On-Time" product delivery by carrying out the daily production plan in accordance with the production manager's schedule.
Shift
Handover: Ensure a thorough transfer of machine status and outstanding work to the subsequent shift lead by holding organized "Toolbox Meetings" at the beginning of the shift.
Minimize downtime by promptly identifying machine malfunctions or process deviations and working with the maintenance staff to get everything back up and running.
Quality Control: Keep an eye on online quality metrics and take prompt remedial action if products don't meet the required tolerance limits.
Safety & Discipline: To attain a "Zero Accident" shift, enforce the usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and make sure all safety procedures are followed.
Reporting: Create thorough shift reports that include labor attendance, production volume, downtime analysis, and any noteworthy incidents.
