Responsibilities:
Welding Operations: Apply superior TIG welding to a variety of materials, guaranteeing immaculate "stack-of-dimes" weld beads and deep penetration.
Blueprint Reading: To ascertain the necessary weld designs and requirements, interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols.
Material Preparation: Tack-weld or clamp components into place in accordance with design after cleaning, grinding, and preparing metal surfaces to remove impurities.
Equipment Calibration: Depending
on the kind and thickness of the metal, set up and modify the voltage, amperage, and gas flow rates (argon/helium) of welding machines.
Quality Inspection: Use measuring instruments to guarantee dimensional accuracy and visually evaluate completed welds to spot flaws like porosity, fractures, or undercutting.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, such as wearing respirators, gloves, and welding helmets on a regular basis.
Required Skills:
mastery of Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) methods.
