Job Description:
The Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) procedure is used by the TIG Welder (Tungsten Inert Gas Welder) to join metal parts with extreme precision. In order to create superior, aesthetically beautiful welds, this position requires dealing with a variety of metals, such as aluminum, stainless steel, and thin-gauge alloys. To guarantee that all manufactured parts adhere to stringent structural and safety requirements, the ideal applicant must have a steady hand, good vision, and the capacity to interpret intricate designs.
Key Duties:
Welding Operations: Apply superior TIG welding to a range of materials, guaranteeing immaculate "stack-of-dimes" weld beads and deep penetration.
Blueprint Reading: To ascertain the necessary weld designs and specifications,
decipher technical drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols.
Material Preparation: Tack-weld or clamp components into place in accordance with design; clean, grind, and prepare metal surfaces to eliminate impurities.
Equipment Calibration: Depending on the type and thickness of the metal, set up and modify the welding machines' voltage, amperage, and gas flow rates (argon/helium).
Quality Inspection: Use measuring instruments to guarantee dimensional accuracy and visually evaluate completed welds to find flaws like porosity, fractures, or undercutting.
Safety Compliance: Comply with all safety regulations, including wearing respirators, gloves, and welding helmets on a regular basis.
