Job Description
Duties:
Circuit Design & Simulation: Prior to actual prototyping, create comprehensive electrical schematics and run circuit simulations to confirm functionality.
PCB Layout & Development: Use programs like Altium Designer, Eagle, or KiCad to design multi-layer printed circuit boards while maintaining appropriate signal integrity and temperature control.
Integration of Embedded Systems: Program, integrate, and interface microcontrollers with communication modules, sensors, and actuators.
Prototyping and Soldering: Put together prototype boards and precisely solder SMD and through-hole parts for functional testing.
Testing and Debugging: To debug hardware issues and confirm signal timing, use diagnostic equipment like
oscilloscopes, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers.
Component Selection: Keep an accurate Bill of Materials while sourcing and assessing electronic components according to availability, cost, and performance requirements.
Compliance & Standards: Verify that designs adhere to industry requirements for safety certifications and electromagnetic compatibility.
Focus Skills:
solid understanding of both digital and analog circuit design.
proficiency in embedded C/C++ and PCB design software.
practical knowledge of lab equipment and hardware debugging.
It is advantageous to have knowledge of power electronics, RF design, or IoT protocols.
