Responsibilities:
Mechanical Assembly: Use fasteners, welding, or brazing to assemble and fit parts for engines, machinery, and other equipment.
Blueprint Reading: Determine measurements and assembly procedures by interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and sketches.
Metalworking: To cut and shape metal components to exact dimensions, use hand tools like files, chisels, and saws as well as machine tools like drills, grinders, and lathes.
Measurement & Testing: To ensure that parts fulfill precise tolerances, use precision measuring tools such as dial gauges, micrometers, and Vernier calipers.
/>Maintenance and Repair: Identify mechanical issues with industrial machinery and replace worn-out or remachined parts to fix them.
Marking & Layout: Use scribers and punches to precisely mark raw materials in order to direct drilling and cutting operations.
Drilling and Tapping: To get parts ready for assembly, carry out accurate drilling, reaming, and threading (tapping) operations.
Required Skills:
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in basic machinery operation, pipe fitting, and bench fitting.
Measurement Accuracy: Proficient in the use and interpretation of precision measuring instruments.
The capacity to carry out delicate filing and fitting tasks by hand.
Physical stamina: The capacity to perform tasks that frequently require standing for extended periods of time and moving heavy parts in an industrial setting.
Experience: 0 to 3 yrs
