Job Description
Duties:
System Design & Layout: Use CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN) to create intricate wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and layouts.
Project management: Keep an eye on electrical projects from start to finish, making sure they adhere to technical requirements and budget.
Testing & Commissioning: To confirm functionality and make sure electrical systems and components satisfy safety regulations, thoroughly test them.
Power Distribution: Plan and oversee networks of low- and high-voltage (LV) and HV distribution devices, such as circuit breakers, transformers, and switchgear.
Automation & Control: For industrial process control, program and integrate SCADA systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
Safety and Compliance: Verify that all installations
and designs adhere to OSHA safety rules as well as national and international electrical codes.
Technical Documentation: Create thorough technical reports, bill of materials (BOM), and operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals.
Focus Skills:
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with CAD tools and electrical engineering software (ETAP, MATLAB, or PSpice).
Mathematical Proficiency: Excellent understanding of calculus, linear algebra, and complex variables for system modeling.
Analytical Thinking: Capacity to do arc flash evaluations, short circuit investigations, and load flow analyses.
Regulatory Knowledge: A thorough comprehension of "LOTO" (Lockout-Tagout) processes and electrical safety regulations.
