Sr Engineer Tooling Lead Fostering Quality in Development
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Conceptualization & Detailed Design: Using cutting-edge 3D CAD software, oversee the design and development of intricate manufacturing tools, jigs, fixtures, molds, and progressive dies.
Details: Make precise and comprehensive engineering drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs) for procurement and production, and thorough component specifications.
Tool Procurement: Provide technical supervision throughout tool production, inspection, and delivery in close collaboration with procurement and outside tool shops.
Process Interfacing: Work together with Manufacturing Engineers to make sure tool designs are optimal for manufacturing
process stability and machine capabilities.
Standardization: To guarantee uniformity and modularity in all new tool designs, create and implement internal tooling standards, design guidelines, and best practices.
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical, systematic thinking, and complex problem-solving abilities.
Strong project management skills for overseeing the entire tool development lifecycle.
Effective communication for interfacing with vendors, tool makers, and cross-functional teams.
Experience: 5 to 8 yrs
