Sr Engineer Tooling Analyst Promoting Leadership in Production
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Design Leadership: Lead the conceptual and detailed design of highly complex production tooling using 3D CAD software, focusing on innovative solutions to manufacturing challenges.
Fabrication Oversight: Provide rigorous technical oversight to both internal tool rooms and external vendors during tool fabrication, ensuring adherence to design specifications, material requirements, and quality standards.
Mentorship: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior Tool Design Engineers, fostering skill development in advanced design techniques and analysis.
Cost Reduction: Collaborate
with Procurement and Manufacturing Engineering to identify and implement design optimizations that reduce the unit manufacturing cost of the final product and the cost of the tooling itself.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional analytical, systematic, and complex problem-solving abilities.
Strong project management and leadership skills for driving major tool development projects.
Excellent technical communication for managing vendor relationships and presenting design concepts.
Experience: 5 to 8 yrs
