Sr Engineer Performance & Teamwork on the Production Line
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Production Management: Oversee daily production activities to ensure output meets the planned schedule; monitor hourly production boards (Glow-charts) to track progress.
Process Optimization & Line Balancing: Analyze workflow and workstation assignments to optimize Takt Time and eliminate bottlenecks in the assembly process.
Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical glitches in assembly equipment, pneumatic tools, and automated testing jigs to minimize downtime.
Quality & Rejection Control: Monitor "First Pass Yield" (FPY) and implement Poka-Yoke (Error-Proofing) solutions to prevent defective parts from moving down the line.
Continuous Improvement: Lead KAIZEN activities and utilize Lean tools such as 5S and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to enhance productivity and reduce the "Cost of Poor Quality."
/>Manpower Development: Manage and train operators and junior engineers; maintain a "Skill Matrix" to ensure flexibility and multi-skilling across the assembly floor.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all production activities adhere to safety standards (OHSAS) and that the team consistently uses required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Experience: 3 to 5 yrs
Education: Diploma/BE in Mech
