Job Description
Focus: Stress the fundamental abilities of using SolidWorks for 3D modelling, producing intricate drawings, and participating in product design and development in a Chennai production setting while taking into account regional manufacturing capacities and industry demands.
Experience: 0 to 2 yrs
What you’ll Do:
Utilize SolidWorks CAD software to create detailed 3D models and assemblies of mechanical components and products for our manufacturing operations in Chennai.
Generate comprehensive 2D manufacturing drawings with accurate dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications, adhering to relevant Indian standards (IS) and our Chennai plant's requirements.
Create and manage SolidWorks part and assembly files, ensuring proper organization and revision control according to our Chennai facility's document management system.
Assist in the development of
prototypes and testing of new designs, providing technical support and making design modifications based on test results in our Chennai R&D or production environment.
Prepare and present design concepts and technical documentation to internal teams in Chennai.
Stay updated on the latest features and capabilities of SolidWorks software and other relevant design tools used in our Chennai operations.
What you need:
Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, design for manufacturing (DFM), and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) relevant to manufacturing in Chennai.
Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
Experience with design calculations and simulations within SolidWorks.
Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and management.
