Job Description:
On the production floor, the quality engineer is the main defender of brand reputation and product perfection. It is your responsibility to create and put into place stringent inspection procedures that guarantee each unit departing the facility satisfies internal and external regulatory criteria. As a data-driven professional, you employ statistical tools to spot patterns, get rid of flaws early, and promote a "Right First Time" culture. A meticulous analyst who can strike a balance between technical accuracy and the demands of a high-volume manufacturing setting is the ideal candidate.
Key Duties
Quality Planning: Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Inspection Test Plans (ITP), and Quality Assurance (QA) plans at every stage of production.
Process Control: Use statistical process
control, or SPC, to keep an eye on industrial processes in order to spot deviations and stop non-conformities before they happen.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Use 8D, 5-Why, or Fishbone analysis to conduct investigations into product malfunctions or customer complaints in order to put long-term corrective measures into place.
Audit & Compliance: Manage the process for external certifications such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100, and conduct routine internal process audits.
Supplier Quality Management: Assess and audit suppliers of raw materials to make sure that incoming parts fulfill the necessary requirements.
To guarantee the accuracy of the results, supervise the calibration and upkeep of all measuring devices and testing apparatus.
