Service Engineer Being a Part of a Rising Industrial Firm
Job Description
The company's technical face, the service engineer is in charge of installing, commissioning, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery at client locations. As a mobile problem-solver, you make sure that the equipment you sell to customers performs at its best for the duration of its life. A special combination of advanced technical knowledge (mechanical, electrical, and electronic) and outstanding customer service abilities are needed for this position. A self-starter who can operate independently in the field, diagnose complicated system malfunctions under pressure, and train clients to maintain long-term machine reliability is the ideal candidate.
Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning: Oversee the testing and setup of new equipment on-site, making sure that every system is calibrated and included into the production environment of the client.
Preventive Maintenance (PM): To avoid unplanned malfunctions, schedule service visits to carry out regular inspections, lubrication, and part replacement.
/>Breakdown Troubleshooting: Respond to emergency service calls by identifying and fixing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or PLC-related issues using diagnostic equipment.
Customer Training: Give the client's operators and maintenance personnel practical instruction on equipment operation, safety procedures, and routine maintenance duties.
Technical Support: Serve as a remote consultant for customers, offering digital or phone troubleshooting to fix small problems and cut down on needless trips.
Skills:
Technical multitasking: The ability to interpret PLC ladder logic, hydraulic diagrams, and electrical schematics.
Mechanical aptitude: practical knowledge of pneumatic systems, motors, gearboxes, and bearings.
Communication: The capacity to clearly and professionally explain complicated technical matters to stakeholders who are not technical.
Mobility: The ability to travel widely, frequently at short notice, to different client locations.
