Senior Utility Maintenance Engineer Injection Moulding
Job Description:
The Utility Maintenance Engineer is specialized in managing and maintaining the critical support systems utilities that enable high-precision injection moulding operations. Unlike general machine maintenance, your focus is on the infrastructure that powers the plant: chilled water systems, compressed air, power distribution, and hydraulic oil cooling. You will ensure that the environment remains stable to prevent moulding defects and machine downtime. The ideal candidate is an expert in HVAC, industrial piping, and electrical switchgear, possessing the ability to manage resource consumption and ensure 100% uptime of auxiliary equipment.
Key Duties
Chiller & Cooling Tower Management: To avoid part warping and cycle time fluctuations, maintain and troubleshoot industrial chillers and cooling towers to guarantee constant
mold temperatures.
CompressedAirSystems: Manage high-efficiency air dryers and compressors to supply dry, pure air for part ejection and pneumatic actuators.
Power Distribution & DG Sets: Oversee the plant's diesel generators and electrical HT/LT panels to guarantee a steady power supply and a smooth transition during blackouts, safeguarding costly molds and hot runner systems.
Water Treatment & Chemistry: To avoid scaling in mold cooling channels and machine heat exchangers, keep an eye on and maintain the quality of process water.
HVAC & Cleanroom Maintenance: Keep up with plant ventilation and air conditioning systems, making sure that the air is properly filtered and changed, especially if the mold is for the electronics or medical industries.
