Senior Quality Engineer Continuous Improvement
Job Description
The "Technical Authority" on the factory floor, the QA (Quality Assurance) Senior Engineer is in charge of the accuracy and dependability of the manufacturing output. Designing and managing advanced quality control procedures that reduce waste and increase product compliance is your main responsibility. As the "Process Architect," you serve as a liaison between mass production and design engineering. The ideal applicant is a seasoned problem-solver who oversees important quality improvement initiatives throughout the plant and employs sophisticated statistical techniques to identify deviations before they become defects.

Responsibilities:
Quality Planning: Oversee the submission of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) paperwork to clients and oversee the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process.
Failure Analysis (FMEA): To proactively identify and reduce risks in the manufacturing cycle, create and maintain Design and Process FMEAs.
Root Cause Investigation: Use 8D, Six Sigma (DMAIC), or Shainin techniques to guide cross-functional teams in resolving difficult quality issues.
Metrology & Inspection: Establish sample programs and inspection standards

(AQL); supervise the operation and programming of sophisticated measuring devices such as CMM or Vision Systems.
Supplier Quality Development: Work with suppliers to enhance the quality of incoming raw materials by conducting technical audits of their facilities.
Change Management: Authorize "Product/Process Change Notifications" (PCN) and assess how engineering or process modifications may affect the quality of the final product.

Skills:
Technical proficiency includes the ability to decipher intricate 2D/3D engineering designs and a thorough understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Mastery of the "Core Tools" (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC) constitutes a quality toolkit.
tools expertise includes knowledge of statistical tools like Minitab, ERP systems like SAP/Oracle, and quality management software (QMS).
Analytical Precision: Excellent mathematical foundation for process capability, standard deviations, and tolerance calculations.
Problem Solving: Proven capacity to oversee stressful troubleshooting sessions and carry out long-term remedial measures.
