Job Description
Duties:
Process Development & Optimization: Use scientific molding procedures to create and record the "Process Window" for new molds.
Mould Trials & Validation: Oversee T0 through T-Final trials for new molds, spotting defects in the design or processing problems and working with the tool room to make the required adjustments.
Cycle Time Reduction: Examine current procedures to find ways to shorten cycle times without sacrificing dimensional stability or part integrity.
Defect Troubleshooting: Serve as the primary technical specialist in addressing intricate molding flaws such short shots, sink marks, warpage, and silver streaks.
DOE: To comprehend the relationship between factors and the
quality of the final part, do methodical experiments.
Equipment Specification: Help choose the right robot end-of-arm tooling, auxiliary equipment, and tonnage machines for certain applications.
Focus Skills:
Expertise in Scientific Moulding: extensive understanding of decoupled molding (Decoupled I, II, and III).
Polymer Science: Excellent knowledge of engineering plastics' rheology and processing properties (PP, ABS, PC, PA66, etc.).
Statistical Tools: Minitab and CPK/PPK analysis expertise to guarantee process capabilities.
Software Proficiency: Knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks, as well as Mould Flow Analysis software.
